Polemarch’s Pen

I am honored to serve as the 21st Polemarch of the Cary (NC) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. This role is a privilege and responsibility I embrace with dedication. My goal is to uphold our fraternity’s purpose, advance our chapter, and train for leadership.

Founded on Thursday, January 5, 1911, during the Jim Crow era, Kappa Alpha Psi emerged as a beacon of hope and resilience. Despite the challenges of its time, our fraternity has thrived for now 114 years, upholding the motto “Achievement in Every Field of Human Endeavor.

Here in Cary, we continue this legacy through brotherhood, community service, mentorship, social events, and partnership.

On behalf of the 21st Administration, I thank the brothers of the Cary Alumni Chapter for their trust. Let us move forward with unity and commitment to Kappa Alpha Psi’s mission.

Inaugural Sickle Cell Blood Drive- October 12, 2024

Cary Nupes proudly partnered with the American Red Cross to host our inaugural Sickle Cell Blood Drive. With a goal of 20 successful donations, we are thrilled to announce that we surpassed that goal with 23 successful donations!

Sickle cell disease disproportionately affects people of African descent more than any other racial group, impacting 1 in 365 African Americans. Blood transfusions are a critical treatment for managing sickle cell disease, as they help alleviate painful crises, reduce the risk of stroke, and improve overall health outcomes for those living with this condition. However, matching blood types from donors with similar ethnic backgrounds is essential for the best results, which is why our community’s contributions are so vital.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who donated and supported this important cause. Your generosity not only helps save lives but also brings hope to families affected by sickle cell disease. Let’s continue working together to make a lasting impact!

Juneteenth is not solely a historical milestone; it is a celebration of African American culture, achievements, and contributions.
